ANALYST' QUESTIONS

Hi I´m Berta and this week I'm the analyst of the group :)

During this week the activity that we've been doing was working with the TPCK theory. In this post I have to answer some questions that will help us to evaluate the work of our group. The questions are the following ones:

    1. What was the best part of the activity?

I think that the best part of the activity was the dinamic of Speed Dating. I really enjoyed during the expositions and having to change from one group to another. It was quite funny to hear Linda's bell ringing, which said that it was time for changing.

    2. What was the worst?

The worst part, from my point of view, was the short time that the stars had to explain their work. Some of them got even more nervous when they heard the bell and they saw that they had not finished their expositions yet.

    3. What was the best moment of the week (in the work of the
group)?

I had no doubt in answering this question. Despite having changed our groups of the first semester (because part of our colleagues changed to the Spanish group) we had no problems of adaptations to the new group. What I most enjoyed was the time I passed with my group preparing the task because although we had to work hard, we had some time to have fun and laugh.

    4. What was the worst?
The worst moment during this week was that we are 5 people from different cities and villages so we had some problems to meet due to the distance and that some of us have activities in the afternoon such us school of languages.

   5. What have you learnt?

Apart from having learnt about the TPCK theory, in my case I have learnt to work with different people from the ones who I was used.

   6. What do you need to conserve -as a group- for the next weeks?

The hard work and the aims to be the best group! Also the good relationship for not having problems and discussions during the preparation of the tasks.

   7. What do you need to improve –as a group- for the next weeks?

I think it is quite soon to see things to improve such as a group. We will see in a near future the things to improve. In the case of our work, we should improve the way to prepare a poster and a scheme because we had some problems with the election of the kind of scheme that we were going to do.

Well, that's all for the analyst this week! See you soon! :)

ILLUSTRATING WORDS

Last friday we were doing an exercise where we had to explain some words through drawings. Our words were: learning, admission, blatant, wide and dismissively and our pictures were:

After having finished the exercise we have to answer some questions:

-Have you had any problem illustrating the concepts?
Yes, we had. We did not  know how to explain blatant and dismissively because they are very abstract concepts and they are difficult to illustrate.

-How it is easier to know what is the concept?
We think that it is easier with a list of words were there are inluded the words that we have to guess so we can recognize them.

-Messages in illustrations help to clarify the concept?
Yes, of course but the illustrations that we had to guess did not have any message.

-Why do you think the other group have had problems to guess the word?
Our group did not fail any picture but we could observe that the other groups had problems due to the different points of view.
To prove that the group which guess our picture did not fail any of the words we have this picture:
