Hi I know what you did family! I´m Antonio Luis, the journalist of the week (again)


This week was quite strange because we didn´t have class because on Monday it was holiday (it was San José) and on Friday Linda couldn´t go to class. However, we had to work on the subject because we had to  do our last activity. In our case, as we said before in the blog, we did an advertisement series.
We were recording during the week and on the weekend we finished the videos in the computer because we had to put the subtitles and a slogan at the end of each video.


The mesage about the content that we want to express with this activity is that text book doesn´t have to be the best way to explain something. It is a tool that we could use, but nowadays there are a lot of ways to teach the same thing and all of them could be correct.

We should be so clear to express the message, so we decided to make those videos because as people say: "one image is better than 1000 words".

Analyst talks!

Hi guys! How was the week?
I am Natalia and this week I am the analyst so here you have the answer to the questions that deal with the work we have been doing this week:

What was the best part of the activity?

First of all, i have to say that this week has been like a little mess because it was so difficult to meet and we didn't agree but finally we could do it and I think that the best part was to record the advertisements and being together all the group because we really had a great time!

What was the worst part of the activity?

From my point of view, the worst part was to think about what we were going to say in the advertises because we had to be really direct because we had only 30 seconds and the main idea had to be clear on it.

What was the best moment of the week (work wise)?

I think that the best moment was when we began to record the first advertise because we were very excited.

What was the worst moment of the week?

Maybe the worst moment moment of the week was while we were recording the third advertise because we had to record it a lot of times because the star couldn't say the things properly.

What have you learnt?

I have learnt that making advertises is really difficult. I have also learn that you must be patient and comprehensive with your peers and that textbooks don't have to be the essentioal resource in a classroom because there are a lot of resources that are better.

What do you need to conserve as a group for next week?

The creativity that each member has and our good relationship.

What do you need to improve as a group for next week?
We must make an effort to meet all together for doing the work.

Dark side of textbook

We're working hard in our task. Finally, we decided to do a TV series for showing the disadvantages of textbooks. So next week we will see our advertisements!

Journalist´s summary

Hi I know what you did´s family! I´m Antonio Luis, the journalist of the week.

During this week we´ve only had one class because on Monday Fuensanta, TIC´s teacher, had to recover the hours that we used the Monday before, in our session with Manel. So, my summary is going to be quite short.

Firstly, in Friday, Linda explained us the new timetable distribution, because we´ve finished first part of TIC and now, the teacher of the second part of the subject is Linda, so we have more hours and more classes with her. It means that we are in the middle of the semester...Summer is coming!

Also, Linda proposed us a new activity which consist of try to convince teachers that the textbook is the Devil (or something like that =) ) To guess it, we could use different tools, for instance, a timeline of twitter, a comic, a Pechakucha... We prefer make an advertisement series because we think it could be so fun. ´

We´re working in our activity..it will be fantastic, I´m sure!

Analyst' questions

Hello guys its Beckie here and I am the analyst for this week, and this week has been very eventful. We had a visit from Manel Rives and his talk about ipads in the classroom. We also had to make a comic, story and stop motion mini film.

What was the best part of the activity?

 It was definatly using the ipads to make the comic and story about dinosaurs, it was pretty cool. The funniest part was when Antonio Luis and me we assigned to make the story and we had to move the characters to make them speak, and because we couldnt move them properly my character started facing the wrong way and Antonio Luis improvised and said "Dont turn your back on me... i said dont turn your back on me!".

What was the worst part of the activity?

I honestly beleive there was no worst part this week.

What was the best moment of the week (work wise)?

The best moment work wise was when we were trying to make the comic on the ipad all together. It was pretty stressfull but fun at the same time, especially when we made the background for the dinosaurs too small...

What was the worst moment of the week?

The worse part was having to come to school on Friday after a looooong night out...

What have you learnt?

I think we have all learnt just how times are changing and how important technology is and therefore their new importance and incorporation in the classroom.

What do you need to conserve as a group for next week?

I suppose our teamwork and humour, we had such a laugh last week with the ipad session.

What do you need to improve as a group for next week?

I think we need to improve on our sress levels as we do annoy each other at times!

Star reflexion!

HI!
I´m Antonio Luis, the star of the week, and fortunately I don´t have to expose anything in class this week =), but I have to explain our STOP MOTION which my mate Berta put in the blog.


Our work is starring by "dinos"(as all of stop motion of the class), and we tried to show a little more about dinosaurs. Just a little, because it´s a difficult activity, and we need to spend a lot of time, and we don´t have it, so we focused our activity in give information about them "diet".


We could find vegeterian "dinos", as the first "dino" that appear in the video, which eat only plants (plants that there were milions of years ago in the earth). However, there were carnivorous "dinos", as the second "dino" that appear in the video, which eat others dinosaurs (for instance, vegeteterian "dinos" as you can see in our story).


We had this idea, and then we tried to show in an animation, a part of the natural process that we could see in a few steps: Firstly, vegetarian "dinos", ate the plants that there were in the earth. Then, carnivorous "dinos" ate others "dinos" (vegetarian or carnivorous). It´s a longer process, but we only show this part, the beggining, but why not? Maybe, we´ll be alble to make the second part of the process.. We´ll think about it.


If you think, it is the same natural proccess that we can see nowadays. Milions of years have passed and "everything" is the same. It could be a good relexion..
